Actually, the past two weeks have been a whirlwind—starting with meeting the media in New York.
The book launch was this past Tuesday evening at my local Barnes & Noble in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Friends came from all over; the outpouring of support was incredible!
I’ll share some of the pictures below.
Special thanks to my oldest daughter Ruth for taking pictures that evening, and for traveling with me to New York the week before. She updated my style and made sure I didn’t get lost in the Big Apple!
If you live in the Midwest and need an artistic photographer, she creates strong portrait compositions that are works of art by strategically using light and space. Check out her work at RuthYaro.com.
Starved to Obesity is dedicated to this guy, my husband Kurt.

At Purdue, I lived with nearly thirty girls at Twin Pines in the cooperative housing system. A couple of them drove up from Central Indiana in order to surprise me!
Notice how well the color of my jumpsuit matched my book cover?! I didn’t plan it that way!
Ending the evening with a short talk and reading an excerpt from the book.

Today, she’s certified in whole plant nutrition from the Nutritarian Education Institute. She’s on a mission to combine practical, no-nonsense and cost-effective tips—with easy to understand science—in order to help anyone escape the addictive grip of the Standard American Diet.
